Families describe long antibiotic courses, a tonsillectomy, IVIG, plasma exchange, a feeding tube, therapy, a psychiatric ward, leaving school and taking two flights abroad to be believed, alongside insurance fights, warning-sign lists on the fridge and doctors who had never heard the word. Outcomes are mixed. Some children settled after a short course, some still flare with each infection, one mother writes that not everything came back, and a few families learned the cause was something else entirely.
