Welcome to Healing Stories Network. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website healingstoriesnetwork.com (the "Site") and your purchase and use of the digital books and other materials we make available (collectively, the "Products"). Healing Stories Network ("we", "us", or "our") provides the Site and Products to you subject to these Terms. By browsing the Site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Who we are

Healing Stories Network is an independent publisher of first-person testimonial anthologies covering a wide range of health and wellness topics. You can reach us at support@healingstoriesnetwork.com.

2. Eligibility and use of the Site

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, to make a purchase. You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes, not to interfere with its operation or security, not to attempt unauthorised access to any part of it, and not to use automated systems to scrape, copy, or harvest its content without our written permission.

3. The nature of our content

Our Products are collections of personal, first-person testimonials together with a short introductory essay. They are offered as companion reading and emotional support. They are not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and they are not a substitute for consultation with a qualified professional. The views expressed in each testimonial are those of the individual contributor and do not necessarily represent the views of Healing Stories Network. Please read our Medical Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms.

4. Orders, pricing and payment

Prices are displayed in USD unless otherwise stated and may change at any time without notice. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including where a Product has been mispriced or is unavailable; if we cancel an order you have already paid for, we will issue a full refund. Payment is handled by our third-party payment providers through an encrypted checkout, and we do not store your full card details.

5. Delivery of digital products

All Products are delivered electronically. After your payment is confirmed, you will receive an email containing secure links to download your files, normally in both PDF and EPUB formats. No physical goods are shipped. It is your responsibility to provide a correct email address and to download your files promptly. If you do not receive your download links, contact us and we will resend them.

6. Licence and permitted use

When you purchase a Product, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and read the files for your own private, non-commercial use. You may keep a reasonable personal backup copy. You may not resell, sublicense, rent, lend, distribute, publicly post, or otherwise make the files available to others; remove any copyright or proprietary notices; or use our Products or their contents to train machine-learning or artificial-intelligence systems. Ownership of the files is not transferred to you.

7. Refunds

Because our Products are delivered instantly as digital downloads, all sales are final once the download links have been issued or accessed, to the fullest extent permitted by law. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer. If you experience a technical problem with a file — for example, a corrupted or incomplete download — contact us within a reasonable time and we will repair, replace, or, at our discretion, refund it.

8. Intellectual property

All content on the Site and within the Products — including the text of the books, the introductory essays, cover artwork, the "Healing Stories Network" name and logo, and the design and layout of the Site — is owned by Healing Stories Network or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Except for the limited licence granted in Section 6, no rights are granted to you.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Site or Products to violate any law or the rights of others, to upload or transmit malicious code, to misrepresent your identity, or to engage in any activity that could damage, disable, or impair the Site. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms.

10. Third-party links and services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and relies on third-party services such as payment and email providers. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties, and your dealings with them are at your own risk.

11. Disclaimers

The Site and Products are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any account contained in a Product is accurate, complete, or applicable to your situation.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Healing Stories Network and its contributors, authors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Site or Products or your reliance on their content. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Product giving rise to the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Healing Stories Network from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site or Products.

14. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and handle your information.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Changes take effect when posted, and your continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable at the place where Healing Stories Network is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection laws of your place of residence, the courts of the place where Healing Stories Network is established shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms.

17. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Medical Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and Healing Stories Network regarding the Site and Products.
